MHS Graduation Update

We will be filming a virtual graduation on Tuesday, May 19 from 11:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.. Students will be given an appointment time to come to THS with their parents or two guests. We will work on releasing these times next week. Students will be videoed, by Mr. Gonzalez, crossing the stage. Student's will pick up their diploma cover and have a professional photograph taken by Mrs. Carr. The video will be compiled and released on the website at 6:00 p.m. on June 2nd. Students will also get a cap and gown picture emailed to them.

When we are able to, we will have a physical graduation, but we don't know when that will be. Graduation 2020 may be different, but it will definitely be historical! You all are amazing and deserve the world!

A Message from Your Principal

I know that you are probably anxious with everything that is going on right now. I wish that I could tell you what will happen. We are all trying to figure out how to make this work for students. The most important part is the health and safety of our collective THS/MHS/TUSD family. Our staff is here for you "virtually" if you need support. Please reach out to us. This is something that we have never experienced and we are all trying to navigate this. There will be a lot of changes. Every decision that we make is what we think is best at the time. Lessons will be learned from this and we will make changes as we go. We miss you all! Be safe, be healthy, and be good to each other!

A Message for Seniors

I know a lot of you are concerned about activities and graduation. I wish that I could give you definitive answers right now, but I can't. The truth is that we do not know how long this will go on. You have had quite a year with unprecedented events, but you will be stronger for it. I believe that you all are meant to do great things in this world! I know it is difficult, but I ask for your patience during this time. You have a team of staff behind you who is rooting for you and wants to make these events happen when they can. It may not be traditional, but we will find a way. For now, focus on staying healthy and safe.

COVID-19 School Closure

THS and MHS will be closed, along with all district schools, through June 4. We will do our best to keep you updated in these uncertain times. We are planning a second packet pick up on Wedensday, April 15 from 10:00-1:00 in front of the school. Some teachers may be posting additional resources on the websites or remind. This should be our last packet pickup and we should be transitioned to online learning shortly. Our technology department is working on a plan to check out chromebooks to students who do not have a device. If you are in need of a device, please email clibatique and we will add you to the list. Stay safe and healthy!
